Congratulations to our District IV boys' and girls' track champions. There were numerous first place finishes for individual track athletes and relay teams. Our athletes and teams will next compete at the Quad-District meet on Thursday, May 21. We are proud of our track athletes and coaches. We want to give a huge thank you to Athletic Director, Marie Green, our high school and middle school track coaches, Scott Smith, Jack Osadchey, Amber Frank, and Michelle Larson, and to all of our students, staff, parents, and community volunteers who hosted this great district track meet.

Several educators from the STARBASE Program at Camp Rilea visited the second grade and engaged our students in a variety of hands-on, STEM activities. Students were able to build and launch rockets, while discovering engineering and science concepts that affected the distance and velocity of their rockets. Students also tested and measured the effects of force and angles on their mission's success. Thank you, STARBASE team!

Friday P.O.W.E.R. Ticket winners and one more 3rd grade biography project.

Today, the second graders added and subtracted within 1,000 in "real world math." They earned play money for exemplary work and then shopped at Holt's Store for toys and treats that they got to keep. They used their math skills to prove how much money they were owed. Math = Real World Fun!

Post game words of wisdom.

Comets come from behind to defeat the Mules 8-7 for the league championship. Go Comets!
