Some pictures of our Spring Concert and the Grand Finale for our retiring K-12 Music Teacher/Band Director. Mrs. Nelson comes from a long line of talented musicians that spans several generations. She has extended her family legacy and love of music through her daughters, granddaughters, and countless students and community members. Mrs. Nelson is a talented multi-instrument musician, vocalist, and piano teacher and a proud member of the North Coast Symphonic Band. Our school appreciates her many years of dedicated service and wishes her the best in retirement. The night ended with a final bow, flowers from her adoring fans, and a well deserved standing ovation. Thank you, Mrs. Nelson!

🚨 Commercial Fishing Safety Training Opportunity 🚨
Students ages 16–18 can attend FREE commercial fishing safety training from May 27–29, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM at the DeBriae Meeting Room in Cathlamet and Elochoman Marine.
This hands-on training will cover important safety skills, including:
• Man overboard recovery
• Cold water survival
• Fire and flooding response
• Emergency drills, including in-water scenarios
• CPR, First Aid, and AED
• Patient care and injury response
Commercial fishermen, captains, and crew members may also attend for $75.
Lunch will be provided.

The Comet baseball team defeated Wahkiakum by a score of 4-1 for the district championship in a well played game at Cheney Field in South Bend. Great job, Comet players and coaches. We are proud of our Comet baseball and fast pitch teams. Comet Power!!!

Another great American Legion Breakfast at the Rosburg Hall. A collaborative venture of local veterans, community members, and student volunteers from the public school and home school. Thank you, veterans, students, and community members.
Congratulations to our District IV boys' and girls' track champions. There were numerous first place finishes for individual track athletes and relay teams. Our athletes and teams will next compete at the Quad-District meet on Thursday, May 21. We are proud of our track athletes and coaches. We want to give a huge thank you to Athletic Director, Marie Green, our high school and middle school track coaches, Scott Smith, Jack Osadchey, Amber Frank, and Michelle Larson, and to all of our students, staff, parents, and community volunteers who hosted this great district track meet.

Pre-participation athletic physicals will be available at the school for students in grades 9-11 free of charge on Monday, May 18, beginning at 12:30 pm. These are available for students enrolled in the public school or who are participating in home-based instruction. In order to obtain a physical, students and parents/guardians must complete this form ahead of time and bring it with them to the school-no exceptions:

Several educators from the STARBASE Program at Camp Rilea visited the second grade and engaged our students in a variety of hands-on, STEM activities. Students were able to build and launch rockets, while discovering engineering and science concepts that affected the distance and velocity of their rockets. Students also tested and measured the effects of force and angles on their mission's success. Thank you, STARBASE team!
The Lady Comets defeated Wishkah in a District IV semifinal game on Monday, afternoon and the Comet baseball team defeated Lake Quinault in a semifinal game on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Comets will play Ocosta for the district championship at 3:00 pm on Saturday in Montesano, while the Comet baseball team will play Wahkiakum for the district championship at 6:30 pm in South Bend.
