Singing it out!

ELEMENTARY CONCERT

The Elementary Spring Concert was held on Wednesday, May 17th with grades 1-4 participating in song and instrument selections. Five difficult melodic and meaningful songs were presented to family and friends in the audience. The students showed off solo and duet skills, harmony and two-part singing, voice projection and even showed audience members how to sustain a note in perfect unison. The 4th graders showed off their recorder skills and 9 students played the ‘Kantele’, or Finnish instrument under the direction of Wilho Saari. For a special treat, H.S. students Karissa Sultemeier and Kelsi Nelson sang a duet from the H.S. Middle School play, “Once on this Island”.

WACKY WEDNESDAY

The students of Naselle Elementary School were having fun this Wednesday being wacky.  Earlier in the week, teachers read Wacky Wednesday, a book by Theo. LeSeig (a/k/a Dr. Seuss) with pictures by George Booth.  The concept of the book is that a boy wakes up and realizes that his whole town has gone "wacky". Birds are chasing cats, shoes show up everywhere but on people's feet, and misspellings abound.  Wednesday, March 24, the students and teachers at Naselle Elementary School decided to be wacky.  Everyone enjoyed dressing up in the wackiest way!
