Schedule for completing your science fair projects

Listed below are key dates by which you must have different parts of your science fair project completed.  Please go over this with your parents/guardians and then keep it in your notebook for future reference.

 

  1. Project Proposal Draft – Due February 21.

This includes:

§         Your research question

§         Where you might find information on the topic with which to do some background research.

§         Your hypothesis

§         Procedures – the steps you will take in doing your experiment

§         A sample of your data sheet on which you will collect data.

 

  1. Project proposal final copy – Due February 25

A final copy of your research proposal that must be word processed.  This will include all the elements that were a part of your draft and due 2/21, but amended to include any changes.

 

  1. Research paper – Due March 4

A one page paper, word processed, that explores background information on your project.

 

  1. Data Collected – Due March 11

Turn in a copy of the data you collected from your experiment.

 

  1. Experiment write-up – Due March 18

This will be your final paper.  It includes your research proposal that you word processed and turned in on 2/25, but adds to that proposal the data you collected, a written explanation of your data, and your written conclusions.

 

  1. Science fair display – Due March 23

This includes the display you will enter in the science fair.

 

 

The science fair will be held on March 24-25.
